How to use the Net Salary Spain
Enter your annual gross salary in EUR.
Choose 12 or 14 pay periods (pagas).
See your net salary per pay period and annual net instantly.
Enter your annual gross and how many pay periods you have, 12 or 14. The calculator returns your annual net salary and the net for each paga.
It applies the 2026 employee Seguridad Social rate of 6.5 %, capped at the base maxima of 5,101.20 EUR per month, and the standard 2,000 EUR gastos deducibles. It then applies the combined estatal and autonomica IRPF scale to work out withholding.
With 12 pagas your annual net is split evenly across the year. With 14 pagas the same annual total is divided into fourteen payments, so each monthly figure is smaller while two extra pagas fall in the year.
The estimate leaves out reducciones for low incomes, regional IRPF scale variations, personal deductions, and allowances for dependants, all of which can change your real take-home pay.
Treat the result as a guide, not financial or tax advice, and your official net may differ once regional rates and deductions apply. All calculations run in your browser, and no data is sent to any server.
Frequently asked questions
The employee Seguridad Social rate is 6.5 % of your base de cotizacion (gross salary, up to the monthly ceiling of 5,101.20 EUR for 2026). It covers contingencias comunes (4.70 %), desempleo (1.55 %), MEI (0.15 %), and formacion profesional (0.10 %).
IRPF is Spain's progressive income tax. Your employer withholds an estimated amount each month based on your projected annual income and personal situation. The annual declaracion de la renta reconciles what was withheld with what you actually owe.
No. This is an estimate. The actual IRPF withholding depends on your personal circumstances: dependants, comunidad autonoma, disability status, and other deductions. It excludes reducciones for incomes below around 16,000 EUR. Your payslip figure may differ.
14 pagas means you receive 12 regular monthly salaries plus two extra pay periods (pagas extraordinarias) in July and December. The total annual net is the same; the difference is only in how it is distributed across the year.
